A crmparative study of the effect of atropine sulfate and glcapyrrolate on tracheal constriction by morphine sulfate
Han Sung-Min

Abstract
The effect of atropine sulfate and glycopyrrolate on tracheal constriction by morphine was studied in 20 patients during induction of anesthesia. Endotracheal tube cuff pressure was used to measure tracheal tones.
Anesthesia was maintained with nitrous oxide, 50 percent in oxygen and pancuronium. After Pretreatment with equipotent doses of atropine sulfate 05mg and glycopyrrolate 0. 2 mg, the Cuff pressure decreased in 7.5¡¾1.9 mmHg and 6.8¡¾1.4 mmHg, respectively.
Morphine did not increase the cuff pressure after pretreatment with atropine sulfate or glycopyrrolate.
